In the past 24 hours, I’ve begun creating meditation videos for YouTube, it’s so much fun, but an accomplishment I had doubts about. In the past month, I’ve also setup my Etsy store, Shopify and my website with virtual products I’ve created! I ordered my tote bag and coffee mug and have to admit they are exactly what I envisioned when I created them on my computer! I’ve also learned how to create journals on Amazon and am working on my first book for their Kindle platform.
I’m writing all this not to boast of my accomplishments but to let anyone reading this blog know that anything is possible, you just have to take that first step.
Being away from the finance “box” the past almost two years has been difficult both emotionally and financially, but I’ve finally realized instead of going back into the “box” and spending 50+ hours in a job that, I’ll be honest, has provided well financially but done little with helping bring me any real joy, let’s see if I can place all that energy into nourishing my creative side.
I’ve always heard the phrases “work to live, not live to work“ and “find something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”. My original thought on those words is malarkey! We all have to do the job that is laid before us.
I think this past month has changed my perspective. All the things I’ve watched on YouTube, my new university, have brought out my creative mind and I’m finding all these ways to create and share my passion…
I just had to take that first step!
