How Often Should You Get A Tarot Reading?

One of my frequently asked questions is, "How frequently should I have a Tarot Card reading?" There is no correct response. It depends on the type of reading you are doing and how you intend to use the text. If you are looking for a general indication of what will occur in the future, you may want to have a reading every six months or once a year.

This type of reading typically involves a larger "spread" or "layout," as Tarot Readers refer to it, containing more cards. This provides a broader perspective of trends that may be emerging in your vicinity. Typically, it indicates whether the reader is in a period of change or relative stability – whether new things will occur or if the status quo will persist. This type of reading is not required frequently. It pertains to the "big picture" and tends to change slowly.

If you are examining one issue at a time, such as whether you will obtain a new job soon, you can ask a question with a narrower spread. A few cards or a Celtic Cross will suffice and reveal the potential outcomes of the situation. The reading may reveal whether you need to improve your skills and embark on a new career path, or whether you need to search for a job more thoroughly than you are currently. If you inquired about moving to a new home, the response could be that it would be disruptive at this time. The Tarot is never as simple as "Yes" or "No." Typically, it also provides advice or insight.

With a reading based on a single topic, you may ask questions at any time so long as the topics are distinct. It is ineffective to repeatedly ask the same question, as the responses become muddled and frequently reflect only your current mood. I always attempt to dissuade people from relying on divination. It is unhealthy to repeatedly ask the same question in an attempt to coerce the cards into telling you what you want to hear. Sometimes life does not give us what we desire, and we must accept this and proceed as best we can.

It is preferable not to ask irrelevant questions. I've discovered that the Tarot is most effective when the question is well-considered and posed rationally. When you have the answer to a question, it's a good idea to reflect on it and determine how it can help you solve your problem. This is one of the Tarot's strengths - guidance. It can assist us in identifying solutions for ourselves.

Using Tarot skillfully is comparable to conversing with a close friend. Frequently, the answers provide us with new perspectives on our lives that enable us to realize our full potential in the future. Like all good friends, it responds best when you pay attention to its responses.
