Growing up, Mimi always said there’s two sides to every story. Not to disrespect my great grandmother’s wisdom, but in my almost forty nine years, I have come to realize there are three sides to every story.
There’s his/hers/theirs VS his/hers/theirs and the Truth, two people can live through the same experience regardless of the actual reality, either perception can skew the view.
The past two years have been difficult for me, illness and bad health, my memories being stirred from childhood, isolation and a host of other battles.
Please don’t perceive my life as being sad twenty four/ seven, I have an abundance of joy and gratitude. It’s simply the hiccups have been louder than usual the past two years…
It took courage for me to decide to start my blog again. Who really wants to put their heart and soul out naked for the universe to see. However, I enjoy writing and sharing my thoughts, experiences and emotions, so I’ve picked the virtual pen back up and here I am writing again.
I’m not perfect, I have feelings that get hurt easily, I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve, it’s simply at times I’m better at concealing my feelings.
When I write and tell my truth, if others are in my story, my perspective is from what I’ve observed and/or been told and it might not necessarily match the other’s perception.
After all there truly are three sides to every story…..
