Using The Physical Body To Connect With Guides & Spirit

To the majority of us, communication with Spirit Guides is somewhat of a mystery, but there are those who claim they can communicate openly with otherworldly beings they call Guides and spirits. A Guide or a deceased spirit can communicate with a medium or psychic in a variety of ways. Typically, these communications occur through the so-called "clair senses."

Clair senses is a collective term indicating that the Guide's communication may employ any of the following types of psychic sensitivity that combine with the normal five senses of the physical body. Included among the five senses and the clair sense are:

Clairaudience: Clairaudience is the ability to perceive sounds (or words) that a person can actually hear, even though no one is speaking and there is no physical cause for the sounds. The sounds are believed to leave impressions on the spirillae of the pineal gland in the ear. It is believed that clairaudience sounds pass through the Third Eye chakra of the head, just as normal hearing does.

Clear tasting is the literal translation of the term clairsavorance. The individual experiences tastes in the mouth without actually putting anything into the mouth.

Claircognizance is the ability to detect the fragrance or odor of a non-physical substance. For instance, you may detect cigarette smoke in a location where you know no one is smoking or has smoked.

Clairsentience. Clairsentience enables a psychic to perceive information as a feeling throughout the entire body without any external stimuli related to this feeling or information, which originates from within the body and travels down the kundalini to the stomach or solar plexus. The stomach is one of the most powerful communication centers that Guides utilize frequently.

Clairvoyance. Clairvoyance is the ability to perceive an ethereal realm without the use of physical eyes. Some describe it as reaching into another vibration frequency and visually perceiving moving images "within the head." Guides frequently use the third eye region of the forehead as one of their other most potent communication centers.

Since the focus of this article is "belly energies" and psychic abilities, we will narrow our attention to clairsentience. Sir Oliver Lodge referred to "clairvoyance or lucidity" and "reading with the pit of the stomach" in the historic writings of "Psychic Science" that he authored. Lodge asserted that the use of the stomach or abdomen as the channel for psychic communication was a common practice.

When ancient beliefs about the belly are viewed in a broader context, this is an intriguing observation. The Chinese refer to this chakra as the "chi point," whereas the Japanese refer to it as the "hara" or "ki point." As the body's balancing chakra, this area is 1.5 inches below the navel and 1.5 inches toward the spine. It is the "energy" that the body produces; some refer to it as a power center.

World-renowned psychic and author Jane Doherty, experiences a physical phenomenon similar to Sir Oliver Lodge's concept of "reading with the pit of the stomach."

Jane Doherty has an incredible physical reaction whenever she is in the presence of ghosts. In a matter of seconds, Jane's stomach expands to a circumference of approximately six inches. And Jane tells us that she experiences excruciating pain whenever this occurs. If you observe Jane as her stomach expands, you will hear her moaning and see her writhing, but trust me, it is not dramatic. Jane is in excruciating pain.

Regarding her expanding stomach, Jane states, "It feels like a contraction during labor, but it never releases me until the spirit departs." Instead, my stomach expands as if I were pregnant for nine months. Jane describes it as extremely intense muscle cramps in which her stomach is physically gripped by the ghost, and if you observe, the stomach will rise. Jane continues, Frequently, I can tell by the grip whether the spirit is female, male, or child. It occurred for the first time in 1990, when I investigated a haunted house with a researcher.

Psychic Jane Doherty has this psychic belly experience when she employs her clairsentience skills, but interestingly, the phenomenon only occurs when a ghost is present and not a Guide. You can learn more about Jane Doherty's psychic abilities by reading her book "Awakening the Mystic Gift: The Surprising Truth About What It Means to Be Psychic," which details Jane's own psychic awakening and what it means to be psychic.

Clearly, "belly energies" and "psychic abilities" are inextricably linked as a complement that facilitates mediums' communication with Guides, spirits, and otherworldly beings. Indeed, the stomach region is one of the strongest communication centers frequently used to communicate with non-corporeal entities.
