Palmistry Overview: According to the American Heritage Dictionary, palmistry is the practice of predicting the future based on the lines, marks, and patterns on the palms of the hands. Palmistry is also known as chiromancy, palmistry, chirology, and hand analysis. Palmistry has its origins in ancient India. It was said to have been practiced by the ancient Brahmins of India. Palmistry is also considered a subset of Astrology. Cheiro was the most well-known palm reader of the modern era. He was born in Ireland and predicted numerous historical events.
